Assistants in Nursing (AIN) Conference 2014

Held on the 7 – 8 August 2014, at the luxurious Sydney Marriott Hotel, the Assistants in Nursing

conference is a formal meeting of industry representatives, to discuss and analyse the current and

future roles of AIN’s in the workplace.

There are currently 738 000 Assistants in Nursing in Australia with most of these being employed

in the Aged care sector. This conference aims to discuss the various ways to integrate AIN’s to the

general nursing population across all sectors of nursing.

This years conference has an exciting line up of speakers, including our very own founder of

Nurse2Nurse, Marie Young who will be lending her expertise in this field.

The representative from Monash Health had this to say regarding last years conference: “I learned a

lot and gained better insights into the AIN role and its implementation.”

Registration is open and costs between $1300 – $1870. Lunch and refreshments are included.

Travel and Accommodation is your own expense. This conference is vital for organisations

wishing to keep up with the industry as we discover ways to meet the vast and expanding needs of

patient care. It is more than just an industry fad – reports have stated that millions of dollars will be

saved by implementing this change.

International Nurses Day 12 May 2015

“The International Nurses Day provides an opportunity to celebrate and reflect on nurses, as the largest health care profession in Australia, and how they continue to contribute to the way health care services and health workforce reform deliver better health outcomes for our communities.

The National Board plays a key role in regulating enrolled nurses, registered nurses and nurse practitioners. We set the registration standards and professional codes, standards and guidelines that establish the requirements for nurses to practise competently and safely in Australia”. –

Ms Anne Copeland, Chair of Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia
